Airport and terminal layout
Boston Logan has four passenger terminals: A, B, C and E. Each terminal has its own ticketing, baggage claim, ground-transport and passenger amenities; Terminal E handles most international departures/arrivals, while domestic carriers are spread among A, B and C. Free Massport shuttle buses connect the terminals and other airport facilities.
Driving directions and the airport approach
Boston Logan is reached from I-90 through the Ted Williams Tunnel and from Route 1A in East Boston, with other tunnels and city roads connecting the wider area. Follow the airport signs and then the terminal or garage letter. Logan’s roads form a loop, so choosing the correct lane before each split is easier than correcting an approach at the curb.

Traffic and journey planning
Check Mass511 and the airport’s travel alerts for tunnel works, closures and congestion before leaving. A trip through downtown or across the harbor needs more flexibility than the map’s uncongested estimate. If using a remote parking facility, check which side of the airport it is on and whether its shuttle route crosses traffic bottlenecks.

Official airport parking
Massport operates the official on-airport parking system, including terminal/central garages and economy parking. Real-time parking status is published because facilities can fill during busy periods, so pre-booking is useful when a specific garage or terminal location matters.

Ground transportation and return transfers
The airport is served by the MBTA Blue Line via Airport Station and the free Silver Line bus to South Station. Massport shuttles link terminals with transit and the Rental Car Center; taxis, rideshare, Logan Express and regional buses use terminal-specific pickup zones.
Airport services and practical arrival checks
All four terminals provide free Wi-Fi, food and retail, charging and traveler services. Logan also offers airline lounges, family facilities, accessibility services, ATMs/currency exchange and the BOS2Go order-ahead food program in participating locations.
Accessible parking and passenger assistance
Free airport shuttles and public-transit connections are designed to be accessible, and accessible parking is provided in official facilities. Because terminals are separate, travelers needing additional assistance should confirm their airline terminal before parking and arrange wheelchair service in advance.
