Airport and terminal layout

Fresno Yosemite International Airport serves Fresno and the Central Valley, with domestic and international passenger facilities in the main terminal complex on East Clinton Way. A major terminal expansion opened on December 17, 2025, adding Concourse B facilities and a larger international-arrivals area after the expanded security checkpoint opened earlier that year. FAT is a gateway for onward drives to Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon, which require a separate road journey. Use the current airport map and your airline’s gate information for the correct route through the expanded terminal.

Driving directions and the airport approach

Fresno Yosemite’s passenger terminal is at 5175 East Clinton Way. The airport is close to Highway 180, which connects with Highways 41 and 168; follow the airport signs onto the local approach roads. The public terminal address differs from the airport administration address. For off-airport parking, navigate to the actual facility entrance on the confirmation.

Traffic and journey planning

Check Caltrans QuickMap for highways around Fresno and for any longer journey from the Sierra Nevada foothills. Winter fog in the Central Valley or mountain weather on a national-park trip can affect the drive before reaching the city. Leave separate time for parking and any shuttle rather than relying entirely on a navigation app’s arrival estimate.

Official airport parking

Official choices include the terminal parking garage, adjacent surface lots and an Economy Lot. The parking page reviewed in October 2026 describes a license-plate-based system introduced in July 2026, with Metropolis registration or posted payment instructions in place of the old entry-ticket process. Check the current instructions for your chosen lot, particularly if paying by cash or without a smartphone. The airport also maintains a free cell-phone waiting area where drivers must remain with their vehicle; it is for collecting passengers, not overnight parking.

Ground transportation and return transfers

Rental cars, taxis, ride-app services and public bus options connect the airport with Fresno. Check the airport’s current ground-transportation instructions for the pickup area used by your service. An airport hotel or parking provider may operate its own transfer, but the presence of a shuttle in a listing does not establish round-the-clock service. Confirm the operating hours, reservation requirements and pickup instructions before arriving.

Airport services and practical arrival checks

The airport’s recognizable Sequoiascape lobby reflects its role as a gateway to the Sierra Nevada national parks. Passenger facilities include dining, shops, waiting areas and traveler information. Review the map for services on the correct side of security, especially before an international flight. Allow time for check-in, document checks and screening even if the terminal appears compact compared with a larger California airport.

Accessible parking and passenger assistance

Accessible spaces are provided in the parking garage and designated surface lots, and the airport publishes arrangements for disabled placard holders. Confirm eligibility and the current parking procedure directly with the airport. Arrange airline wheelchair assistance in advance, and ask an independent parking provider about accessible shuttle boarding. The physical distance to the terminal and the suitability of the path matter as much as the daily parking rate.

A stay before or after your journey

Hotels near FAT Airport

East Clinton Way and the area around the terminal contain airport-oriented hotels, with further choices across Fresno. A room near the airport can suit an early flight or a late return from the national parks. Confirm whether a hotel shuttle runs at your required time and whether extended parking is included; a standard overnight room reservation should not be treated as permission to leave a car for the whole trip.

Check the parking package

A parking-only offer does not include a hotel room. For a hotel package, confirm the number of parking days, transfer destination and any additional passenger charges.

Parking questions answered

How do I choose parking for FAT?

Compare the complete price for your stay with the transfer time and the terminal you need. For Fresno Yosemite International Airport, use the official parking advice above for airport-operated facilities, or check the access hours, vehicle rules and shuttle arrangements in an independent offer.

Is an airport shuttle included with every parking option?

No. Some listings include a shuttle, some charge separately and others provide no shuttle. Check both the outbound and return service hours. Accessible parking spaces and an accessible shuttle are separate features.

Can I park overnight or for a longer trip?

Confirm that the particular product covers the entire stay and your return time. Compare the full price including taxes, booking charges, additional transfer costs and any oversize fees. Keep the collection instructions in case your flight is delayed.

When should I arrive at the parking facility?

Review the airport’s current license-plate parking instructions before entering an official lot. If using an independent provider, check its own entry and exit process because it may not use the airport’s system. Confirm shuttle operating hours, vehicle restrictions and the return pickup point for the exact product booked.

Where will I find the parking address?

Use the exact address and arrival instructions supplied with your confirmed booking. Some special-rate offers disclose the facility identity only after booking. Read that condition before purchase and do not drive to the passenger terminal by default.

Does a hotel parking reservation include a room?

A parking-only offer does not include an overnight room unless the product explicitly says so. Use the hotel search for a separate room, and check whether any park-and-stay package includes parking for your whole trip.
