Tampa International Airport Parking (TPA)

Parking at Tampa International Airport is easier to plan when the terminal, transfer route and official airport options are clear before you set off.

Airport guidance reviewed August 2026. Terminal, official parking, transport, accessibility and hotel-area information can change. Check the official airport website and your booking confirmation again before travel.

Getting oriented at TPA

Start with the terminal layout before choosing where to park. Tampa International Airport uses a central Main Terminal for ticketing and baggage claim, connected by automated shuttles to four active gate satellites: Airsides A, C, E and F. The airport’s distinctive hub-and-spoke design means passengers check in at the Main Terminal and then take the appropriate airside shuttle after security.

Choosing airport-operated parking at TPA

When comparing parking on the airport estate, focus on location, transfer method and current availability. Official parking covers the Short Term Garage integrated with the Main Terminal, the adjacent Long Term Garage and the Economy Garage/Lot. Short- and Long-Term parking reach the Main Terminal by pedestrian connections, while Economy parking is linked by the 24-hour SkyConnect train. Accessible parking is provided in all airport parking areas.

Parking comparison tip: For any paid reservation, compare the complete stay price with convenience. A lower daily rate can be less useful if the transfer adds too much time to your journey.

Getting to and from TPA

For the trip beyond the car park, consider these ground-transport connections. Public buses stop at the Rental Car Center, while taxis, rideshare, hotel shuttles and other services use signed curbside/remote curb areas. A cell-phone waiting lot is provided for greeters. The on-airport Rental Car Center connects with the Main Terminal by the SkyConnect train, which also serves Economy Parking.

Terminal amenities and traveler services

Once you reach the terminal, the following traveler services are worth knowing about. Free Wi-Fi is provided in the Main Terminal and airside buildings on network “TPA.” The airport has extensive dining and shopping, public art, charging, passenger information, family facilities and airline/common-use lounge options distributed across the Main Terminal and airsides.

Accessibility planning at TPA

For an accessible journey, confirm both the parking route and any airline assistance in advance. TPA offers accessible parking in Short Term, Long Term and Economy facilities, accessible SkyConnect service, elevators and step-free routes, and service-animal relief areas beyond security at every airside. Airline wheelchair assistance should be arranged in advance.

Where to stay near TPA

An airport-area hotel can be useful for an early departure, a late arrival or a parking package. Use Fly Away's hotel search page to look for rooms around the airport for your travel dates. Before booking a room, confirm shuttle arrangements, parking-package terms and the final rate. The largest near-airport hotel cluster is in Westshore/Avion Park immediately south and southeast of TPA; the Tampa Airport Marriott is also integrated with the airport terminal complex.
