Toronto Pearson has two active passenger terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, in Mississauga. The free Terminal Link train connects both with Viscount Station. Confirm the operating airline and terminal before choosing parking, rental-car instructions or a shuttle stop. International and United States departures can involve different processing from a Canadian domestic flight, so follow the airline's specific arrival guidance. A terminal transfer still requires time for the train and walking with luggage.

Driving directions and the airport approach

Highways 401, 409 and 427 form the principal freeway approaches to Pearson. Follow the signs for Terminal 1 or Terminal 3, then the chosen parking product rather than automatically entering the departures curb. Value and Viscount-area facilities use different final road access from terminal garages, including the Airport Road and Viscount Road area. Use the parking confirmation's entrance directions and check current airport notices before following an older saved route.

Traffic and journey planning

Ontario 511 provides highway incidents, construction and weather information for the Greater Toronto Area and routes farther across the province. Check the full journey, including any transfer between Highway 401 and the airport approaches. Commuter congestion and winter conditions can change travel time. Add parking, Terminal Link and the walk to check-in separately from the road estimate, with further allowance for the processing required by the flight destination.

Official airport parking

Official parking includes terminal garage products and value parking around the Viscount area, with reserved and premium options described on Pearson's parking website. Compare the exact product, entrance and Terminal Link journey rather than treating every airport lot as a terminal garage. The Viscount Station Reserved Lot has its own booking arrangements. Review vehicle clearance, cancellation terms and current availability before purchasing. Cell phone waiting areas are intended for drivers collecting passengers, not for leaving a vehicle during a trip.

Ground transportation and return transfers

Rental-car counters are associated with the Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 parking garages; some off-airport rental companies use Viscount Station for pickup. UP Express provides rail travel between Terminal 1 and downtown Toronto's Union Station, with Terminal Link used for a Terminal 3 connection. Regional and local buses, taxis, limousines and app-based rides serve designated locations. Confirm the service-specific stop and terminal before ordering a vehicle or joining a shuttle queue.

Airport services and practical arrival checks

Pearson offers Wi-Fi, dining, shopping, charging, lounges, family facilities and passenger assistance. Its interactive maps identify services, security areas and gate routes in each terminal. The airport is large enough that a restaurant or lounge in the same terminal may still be a long walk from the gate. Check the route and operating hours before making a stop during the departure journey.

Accessible parking and passenger assistance

Terminal Link is accessible, and Pearson provides accessible parking, curb routes and terminal facilities. Arrange mobility or boarding assistance with the airline ahead of travel and review Pearson's guidance on advance notice. Explain whether assistance is needed from parking, check-in or a connecting flight. A private parking or hotel shuttle should separately confirm how it handles mobility equipment and where it will meet the passenger.
