The cruise terminal and arrival address

San Diego cruise ships use the B Street Pier and Cruise Ship Terminal or the Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier. Both are on the downtown Embarcadero. The official addresses are 1140 North Harbor Drive for B Street and 1000 North Harbor Drive for Broadway Pier. Confirm the pier for your sailing with the cruise line rather than treating the two entrances as interchangeable.

Driving directions and the final approach

The final terminal approach is along the downtown waterfront around North Harbor Drive. San Diego International Airport is close to the waterfront but is a separate destination. If driving from elsewhere in the region, use a current route from the motorway network to your confirmed lot or pier. A cruise parking lot may be in an airport-area location and require a road transfer back to the harbor.

Traffic, road conditions and journey timing

Check Caltrans QuickMap for motorway incidents and the port’s current travel guidance for the waterfront approach. Downtown traffic, events and simultaneous ship operations can affect the last part of the drive. Allow time for checking in at the lot, loading luggage and waiting for the transfer. A short map distance should not be used as a guaranteed shuttle duration.

Parking choices and important restrictions

The Port of San Diego directs cruise passengers to long-term parking providers rather than presenting ordinary waterfront visitor parking as suitable for every sailing. Confirm that a reservation permits parking for all cruise nights and includes the correct pier transfer. The supplied On Air Parking link is specifically for the cruise port, so use that destination when checking live options.

Transfers and onward travel

The cruise terminals are in the downtown waterfront area, with rail and other city transport nearby. Suitability depends on the amount of luggage and the last part of the trip. If using a parking shuttle, ask whether it serves both B Street and Broadway Pier and how collection is arranged on return. Airport shuttle service and cruise shuttle service should be checked separately.

Arrival and collection checklist

Carry your cruise documents and terminal details with you, and prepare the cruise line’s luggage tags before arrival. Follow the terminal’s passenger and luggage-drop directions. Keep the independent parking confirmation offline and photograph or note where the vehicle is left. On return, confirm the pickup point after leaving the terminal, as a shuttle may not stop at the same place as the initial drop-off.

Accessible parking and assistance

Arrange embarkation help with the cruise line. Check accessible parking and the transfer vehicle directly with any independent provider, including mobility-device size and luggage loading. The port publishes accessible terminal and parking information; verify the route between your actual drop-off point and the check-in entrance.

A stay before or after your journey

Hotels near Port of San Diego

The Embarcadero, downtown and Little Italy offer different hotel choices for a night before sailing. Airport-area hotels can also be useful, but confirm the onward port transfer. Compare room, long-stay parking and shuttle costs together. A standard overnight room does not automatically include parking for the duration of a cruise.

Check the parking package

A parking-only offer does not include a hotel room. For a hotel package, confirm the number of parking days, transfer destination and any additional passenger charges.

Parking questions answered

Which terminal should I use at Port of San Diego?

Use the terminal assigned by your cruise line for the sailing date, then check the official port map. If you book an independent parking lot, follow its arrival address and transfer instructions first.

Is the cruise shuttle included in the parking price?

It depends on the offer. Check the charge, passenger allowance, luggage rules, operating window and return pickup process. An airport shuttle is not automatically a cruise-terminal transfer.

When should I reach the parking lot?

Confirm B Street or Broadway Pier, then arrange the lot arrival and transfer around the cruise line’s assigned check-in window.

Can I leave an oversized vehicle or RV?

Check the height, length, width and vehicle-category rules for the specific product before reserving. A garage, outdoor lot and hotel parking area can have different restrictions and charges.

What if I need accessible parking or a lift-equipped transfer?

Confirm accessible spaces, the transfer vehicle and the final route to check-in with the provider. Arrange embarkation assistance with the cruise line; the parking booking does not arrange shipboard assistance.

Check current parking options, read the transfer details and choose the product that fits your journey.
